Discover uv-C

Throughout the day, all the bacteria you touch on grocery carts, restrooms, gas pumps, doorknobs, and even other people are transferred and stored on everything else you touch, such as your sunglasses, keys and mobile phones.

Did you know that your personal items that you carry around you every day is a petri dish for bacteria such as e-Coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus Aureus, and more! Now you can vaporize all of those germs with PurLite Home!

How it works

What is uv-c?

UVC light is a 100% effective germicidal agent which causes fatal damage to germs at the genetic level.

UV-C light is proven to sanitize safely and effectively in leading hospitals globally. No micro-organisms can withstand UV-C light, and unlike chemical agents, they simply cannot develop a defense against it.

PurLite UV-C germicidal bulbs are 245 nanometers (nm) on the spectrum chart and that is important in the breakdown of the DNA.

UV-C Types

How is it measured?

UV light is measured into three categories:

UV-A, UV-B, and UV-C.

UV-C light is germicidal unlike UV-A and UV-B. It breaks down the DNA of pathogens that have developed a resistance to antibiotics therefore being so powerful.

UV-C refers to ultraviolet light with wavelengths between 200 – 280 nanometers (nm). Light in the UV-C wavelength can be used for disinfecting water, sterilizing surfaces, destroying harmful micro-organisms in food products and in air.

Purlite

Purlite Home uses the power of UV-C light to safely sanitize common objects by eliminating 99.99%* of those harmful germs and bacteria.

No micro-organisms can withstand UV-C light, and unlike with chemical agents, they simply cannot develop a defense against it.
